A management order is a directive issued by the Choregos to guide the house's work from off-stage. It establishes the goals, tasks, and verification criteria for an architectural or artistic step.

Direction

The artistic and civic direction. The overarching goal, context, and vision behind this order.

Orders

The specific directives. Actionable commands assigned to the Manager or Playwright.

Implementation

The boundaries of execution. Resources, inputs, config keys, and templates to guide the work.

Targets

The exit criteria. A checklist of files, test successes, and milestones that must be completed.

A management order must be fully checked off (no pending [ ] targets remain) before it can be merged to main, ensuring that all directives are resolved.
